History
The concept of a recording studio has been around since 1877 when Thomas Edison first recorded the human voice. Since then it has become an industry with much growth and demand for a product. Parka Studios is a recording facility built with extreme precision and equipped to deliver professionally recorded audio files to its clients. The company was founded in the beginning of 2007 by the Akrap family at 6843 W. Cermak Avenue in Berwyn, Illinois just west of downtown Chicago. Parka Studios is located on the second floor of the building structured fully with sound-proofing material and the latest in acoustic engineering. The industry has always been a fascination to the family given that Nick Jr. and his two brothers have been playing piano since four years of age, eventually branching out into song writing and playing multiple instruments for a combined 42 years. Owner Nick Akrap Sr. fully invested the capital and knowledge in creating the perfect atmosphere and opportunity for ingenuity to flourish with quality and precision.
